The Jackson County Public Library System (JCPL) is a Department of Jackson County Goverment and operates within its structure and under the auspices of the Jackson County Board of Commissioners. The Library is funded by the Jackson County Commission and by the State, Federal, Foundation, and private grants. Individual gifts are also given to the Library for designated purchases and for general use.
The Jackson County Public Library System is made up of the Headquarters Library, Library Learning Center, Graceville Branch Library , and the Bookmobile. The Jackson County Public Library System's Mission, Goals, Visions, and Service Commitments are also well established.
In all four of these entities there is a variety of materials as well as an adequate collection of books to be circulated. The Library staff is also friendly, talented, and well trained, to serve the needs of the patrons.
Jackson County Public Library System is just one of the four county libraries which are part of the Panhandle Public Library Cooperative System (PPLCS). The other member libraries are Calhoun County Public Library, Washington County Public Library, and Holmes County Public Library. All of these Libraries offer services to patrons in all four counties and work together to meet the informational, cultural, recreational, and lifelong learning needs of all residents.
