| The mission of the Jackson County Public Library System is to promote the joy of reading and the love of learning by providing all residents with free and equitable access to educational, recreational, informational, and cultural materials for their enrichment and enjoyment.

All residents will take advantage of the Library's Collection of Books, Magazines, Audio Visuals, and state of the art Electronic Resources to become life long learners. |

Residents of all ages and skills will benefit from the Library's Literacy Programs which are supported by the promotion of Early Literacy, Teen and Adult Reading and Writing Skills, Informational Literacy and Multi-Lingual Library Resources. |

Vision |
The Library staff of the Jackson County Public Library System, the Advisory Board, and the Commission envision a future in which every resident of the county has access to and uses the Library Services offered to them. |
